Ahead of the game, Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has been given a fitness update. The former Celtic boss has said that Brennan Johnson is ready to face Everton.
Johnson had to go off midway through the first half against Nottingham Forest after taking a blow to the head, but the £47.5 million () Wales international has been .
Postecoglou said on Tottenham’s official account: “Brennan is fine. He has trained all day. Everyone else is okay.
“We get Gio back. He has trained as well. We are losing two lads with suspensions but everyone else is okay.”
Boost for Spurs
In my view, Brennan Johnson being ready to face Everton is a huge boost to Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of winning the Premier League game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Everton are in good form at the moment. The Toffees have won their last four Premier League matches.
Tottenham themselves are starting to get into a rhythm. After a spell when they were struggling to hold onto a lead and losing matches, Ange Postecoglou’s side have won their last two league games.
Johnson is starting to carve out a place for himself in the Tottenham starting lineup, and I believe that he could start against Everton.
Even having the former Nottingham Forest forward on the bench against the Toffees would be a very good option for Spurs.
