Ange Postecoglou says £40m Tottenham player could now start vs Manchester City
Ange Postecoglou has hinted that James Maddison could start for Tottenham tomorrow in their FA Cup clash against Manchester City.
The England international has been out of action since November with an ankle injury, though Maddison is now back in training and available for selection.
With the FA Cup a priority for Spurs this season, having the £40m summer signing available could be massive for Tottenham in their bid to eliminate the holders City.

And speaking to the press , Postecoglou confirmed that Maddison will be fit enough to potentially start for Tottenham against City in what is a massive injury boost for the north London side.
Postecoglou said when asked about the latest fitness updates going into tomorrow’s FA Cup clash: “Everyone’s ok from the last game. Deki’s recovered from illness.
“The boys had four days off last week, which was good. Madders has been training with us, has had a full training week. He’s in a good place. He’s available to start.”
James Maddison could be key in Tottenham beating Manchester City

Tottenham’s track record against City in north London is already one of the most impressive stats in recent Premier League memory, and the return of Maddison will instil confidence in the Spurs squad.
Before his injury, Maddison was one of the best playmakers in the Premier League and was a focal point for Postecoglou’s system, which made Tottenham one of the deadliest sides in the division.
And with the former Leicester man now back and fit enough to potentially start, there’s a real chance that Tottenham could claim yet another famous win against City.
Moreover, a victory tomorrow night could set Tottenham up for an incredible run to the FA Cup trophy, the first piece of major silverware the north London side would claim since 2008.
