Ange Postecoglou is privately ‘unhappy’ with £25m Tottenham player right now
Journalist Alasdair Gold has now been sharing some insight into Ange Postecoglou’s feelings after a recent set-back for Tottenham Hotspur.
Gold was discussing an incident in Tottenham’s win over Nottingham Forest on the ‘’ podcast recently.

Ange Postecoglou’s side secured an impressive 2-0 victory, however, as is often the case right now, it came at a cost.
Yves Bissouma saw a straight red for an ill-advised challenge and will now be missing for the foreseeable.
Handed a four-match ban for his second red card of the season, Bissouma will then head to the AFCON immediately after his suspension finishes.
Therefore it’s very likely that the midfielder will not play again for Spurs again until February – something that will be tough to swallow for Postecoglou.
And Gold certainly thought Postecoglou would be frustrated with the Tottenham player, he said: “I’m sure he’s unhappy with Bissouma privately, he must be.
“The guy is such a talented player and he’s missed so much football for Spurs and he’s going to have by the time he returns in February.
“Especially because he sees him as someone who is so integral in this number six role in his squad.
“In his words, ‘it is what it is’, but I don’t know whether it should be what it is, I think they should be doing better myself.”

Of course, this absence will now present an opportunity for the rest of this Tottenham squad.
Oliver Skipp provided a quiet but effective performance against Forest and could be a player that Postecoglou turns too.

Moreover, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg remains available, even if it seems his future may reside elsewhere.
And then of course there’s the opportunity in the transfer window.
Gold didn’t necessarily say whether he believed that Postecoglou would seek more bodies for his Tottenham midfield when discussing Bissouma’s woes.
However, alongside a centre-back, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Spurs made an addition.
If it wasn’t already, it’s becoming an increasingly crucial window for Tottenham – another huge opportunity to sculpt this squad for ‘Ange Ball’.
And although Bissouma remains a big part of the future, a replacement may now be needed in the interim.
