Ange Postecoglou hands £26m player his first start for Tottenham this year… Early Tottenham XI vs Fulham
Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to build on a positive couple of weeks at Tottenham Hotspur with a win at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Aussie led his side to an empathic 4-0 win at Villa Park last time out, putting Tottenham right back in the hunt for a top-four finish. Spurs head into Saturday’s clash at Fulham just two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, with a game in hand.
You’d imagine that Postecoglou would be keen to stick with the XI which delivered such an impressive display at Villa. But Micky van de Ven was forced off with what appeared to be another hamstring injury in the 49th minute.
Radu Dragusin replaced the Dutchman and put in a solid performance for the remainder of the game at Villa, which could earn him his first start in a Spurs shirt on Saturday.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Fulham
Postecoglou looks likely to be forced to make one change to his backline, with Guglielmo Vicario continuing between the sticks.
Dragusin will surely step in for Van de Ven should the Dutchman miss out on Saturday.
The defender put in an encouraging display at Villa and has waited patiently for his opportunity in the side.
With Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie all coming through the test at Villa, he would join the trio in defence.

As for the midfield and attack, we’d be surprised to see any changes there.
Pape Matar Sarr was exceptional alongside James Maddison, while Yves Bissouma is still finding his way back to full match sharpness following his return from a suspension and AFCON 2024.
While Timo Werner impressed and scored after coming on as a substitute, it’s difficult to see Postecoglou changing his front three.
Brennan Johnson has hit a brilliant run of form while Heung-min Son picked up the Man of the Match award on Sunday.
Here is our predicted Tottenham XI for the clash at Fulham in full.
