And as a result of the recruitment mentioned and further deals that seem possible, players will have to leave.

As with most windows, Bryan Gil is now linked with a Tottenham exit this month, a player who has been given chances by Postecoglou.

That being said, it’s now become clear that one youngster will be sticking around.

Perhaps some imagined that Jamie Donley would receive a few more chances in the absence of James Maddison – a youngster who’s starting to prove his playmaking ability.

However, Donley has mostly remained with the under-21s where he’s had a ton of success, scoring six and providing 12 assists for Wayne Burnett’s team.

Postecoglou clearly has a plan for the ‘brilliant’ forward who seems to have so much potential in his game.

Moreover, the report also says the same for Alfie Dorrington – another player who it would seem logical to loan out.

However, Postecoglou seems to want to keep these talents close to his project, he wants them to learn his style.

Furthermore, the manager also has a strong reputation for developing these kind of talents, who will hope to be closer to the XI next season

Players could leave the club this month, there’s even been one bid rejected from Saudi Arabia this week.

However, Postecoglou will be very aware of the talents he wants to keep close, and Donley is in that bracket.
