Ange Postecoglou confirms £13m Tottenham player will now be out a couple of months
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Alejo Veliz will be out for some months after picking up a significant injury.
The Argentine youth international was spotted on crutches after Tottenham’s recent 3-2 win against AFC Bournemouth, with Veliz only joining Spurs this summer in a £13m deal.
And it could now be some time before the 20-year-old is back in action for Tottenham, with Postecoglou telling the press that Veliz will be out on the treatment table.

The Australian manager said: “Unfortunately Alejo [Veliz] was a fairly significant injury. He had scans and it will keep him out for a couple of months. He won’t need surgery.”
Having only just scored his first Premier League goal, the injury has come at the worst possible time for Veliz, who was starting to look the part in a Tottenham shirt.
Indeed, the South American wonderkid will be devastated that he is now set for months out on the sideline, and Tottenham will hope Veliz can return from injury as soon as possible.
