Ange Postecoglou and Son Heung-min both absolutely love 22-year-old Tottenham player
Ange Postecoglou clearly arrived at Tottenham Hotspur with a plan to reinvigorate Son Heung-min, who wasn’t playing his best football.
Son, who had previously been incredibly good in the Premier League playing alongside Harry Kane, had suffered a dip by his own standards.

But when Postecoglou arrived, and it was clear to him that Kane was leaving, he quickly saw an opportunity to hand Son a new role, one he’s now thriving in.
That being said, the new Tottenham boss also needed to add fire-power to support Son up top, he couldn’t burden the absence of Kane’s goals alone.
And that’s perhaps where Brennan Johnson came in.
Although the former Nottingham Forest forward isn’t a key player just yet, he’s beginning to prove that he can be a difference maker in games.
And when speaking on the ‘’ podcast, Alasdair Gold has now been providing some behind the scenes insight into how Johnson is viewed at the club.
Gold was considering if Johnson deserved a start for Tottenahm on Sunday and explained just how much both Postecoglou and his captain Son believe in the winger.
Ange Postecoglou and Son Heung-min really adore Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson
Considering his chances of starting over Dejan Kulusevski on Sunday, Gold ended up explaining the wider feeling about Johnson at the club.
He said: “It’s a tough one for Johnson but he’s doing everything right, that’s the key thing.

“There’s so much belief in him at that club, Postecoglou loves him, feels like he’s going to be a terrific player.
“Sonny adores him, I mean the interview he did on him afterwards, he was just saying how good he’s going to be, and he said this previously, he thinks he’s going to be like one of the best players in the Premier League.
“One of the best players Wales has had, and bearing in mind Wales have had Gareth Bale, who’s done rather well for himself before he retired.”
Of course, the onus will now be on Johnson to fulfil all of this promise.
The 22-year-old looked so determined when subbed on by Postecoglou on Saturday, playing to the right side of Son on this occasion.
And it will certainly be interesting to see if he’s done enough to earn a Tottenham start at Villa Park.
Moreover, with that in mind, it seems Richarlison may still have a chance of making the game.
