Andy Robertson praises ‘phenomenal’ Liverpool teammate Xherdan Shaqiri
Andy Robertson has praised Liverpool teammate Xherdan Shaqiri, insisting the forward has played ‘phenomenal football’ in the last couple of weeks.
The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League yesterday by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Mo Salah had given Jurgen Klopp’s side the lead from the penalty spot, but that was cancelled out by Gabriel Jesus who turned beautifully in the area before tucking home.
Kevin De Bruyne could have put City ahead but uncharacteristically fluffed his lines from the penalty spot, and the spoils were shared.
Klopp attempted to go for the winner by introducing Shaqiri, who impressed when he came on to assist Diogo Jota against West Ham.

And Robertson spoke about the star after the game.
He said (): “The front three have been phenomenal the last three years and then we bring on quality like Shaq, who is in such a good moment right now.
“He has played phenomenal football the past couple of weeks and then we bring on Millie, trusty Millie, slotting in for Trent.”
TBR’s View – Shaqiri can be impactful for Liverpool
He may not be a regular starter but Shaqiri can still have a big impact for the Reds this season.

After spending a lot of time out injured last term, the former Stoke City man will be raring to impress, and the form of Diogo Jota is also likely to light a fire beneath him.
It is often forgotten how good a player he is given the superstars in Liverpool’s squad, but the 29-year-old has shown he can mix it with them all.
