Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott react as Liverpool make Friday announcement
Andy Robertson has posted a four-word verdict as Liverpool announce a new deal for talent Kaide Gordon – and Harvey Elliott has reacted, too.
Gordon, who only turned 17 on Tuesday, has penned professional terms after making his debut for the Reds earlier in the season against Norwich.
It comes after the England youth international joined the club from Derby County, where he had also made one appearance at senior level.
Now, Gordon has put pen to paper on professional terms at Liverpool – as he continues to look to establish himself as a regular in the Under-23 side.
Starting in the 18’s, Gordon was promoted quickly – and has since netted three goals in four Premier League 2 games. He scored against Everton.
Following his new deal, in which he is penning the new contract. It is unclear how long his new deal will last.
Liverpool duo Robertson and Elliott react as Gordon posts on Instagram
There is huge excitement surrounding Gordon at Liverpool. The fact the Reds have brought him in from Derby, says everything.
Quick, excellent on the ball and with an eye for a goal and an assist, Gordon could be a long-term replacement for the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
But for now, the new deal is a big step in the right direction. He needs to keep at it, keep working hard, and make himself a regular in the 23’s.
There is no doubt, though, that Gordon has huge potential. Both Robertson and Elliott responded to his post on Instagram, on Friday afternoon.
