Andrea Radrizzani responds sarcastically to Leeds fan on Twitter, cracks starting to show?

Andrea Radrizzani has responded sarcastically to an angry Leeds United fan on Twitter after the Whites suffered a frustrating 2-1 defeat to promotion contenders Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

A soft penalty from Aleksandr Mitrovic and a late Josh Onomah strike saw Leeds lose to the west Londoners. despite Patrick Bamford scoring his tenth goal of the season. It has seen Leeds fail to win in their last two league games.

After a win of seven consecutive wins, Leeds fans are beginning to worry that last season’s capitualtion in the second half of the 2018-19 campaign is beginning to replicate itself. Like this season, Leeds were eight points clear of third at this point last term.

An angry Leeds fan sent a message to Radrizzani after the defeat to Fulham, perhaps comparing the current owner and chairman to previous supremo Massimo Cellino. Radrizzani responded sarcastically, wishing the supporter a Merry Christmas.

TBR’s view – Are Leeds beginning to crack, or is it different this time?

Understandably, Leeds fans are concerned. The Whites were eight points clear at this stage last season, and are the same this time around. Losing a 3-0 lead to Cardiff last week to draw 3-3, and then a defeat to Fulham, is worrying.

But there are differences this time around. Bielsa’s men are fitter, but the main thing is that there is much more depth in the squad. Last season, the bench was full of youngsters due to an extensive injury list.

This time around, Leeds have plenty of talent and quality on the bench. Injuries, then, are not such a big hit and it could prove to be the difference.
