Andrea Radrizzani breaks silence after Leeds lose to Derby in play-offs
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has broken his silence on Twitter after his side were knocked out of the Championship play-offs by Derby County on Wednesday night.
Leeds took a 1-0 advantage into the home leg after Kemar Roofe scored to secure a 1-0 win at Pride Park. Leeds looked to have booked their place at Wembley, after Stuart Dallas opened the scoring at Elland Road.
But Derby roared back, winning 4-2 on the night thanks to goals from Harry Wilson, Mason Mount and a brace from substitute Jack Marriott. It saw Frank Lampard’s side win 4-3 on aggregate.
Radrizzani posted on Twitter on Friday morning, for the first time since Leeds suffered the defeat. He assured fans that Leeds will be back, and that his focus is on building a successful club.

TBR’s view
There had been rumours that failing to earn promotion this year would see Radrizzani look to sell Leeds. But his post suggests that he wants to keep control of the Whites, which will delight fans.
Since the Italian took over Leeds, he has renewed the belief and optimism at Elland Road. He has bought the stadium back, spent money on the likes of Patrick Bamford and hired the loved and adored, Marcelo Bielsa.
The Whites need investment this summer if they are to mount another promotion challenge, and it seems as though Radrizzani is willing to do that. The best signing of all, of course, will be keeping Bielsa.
