Andrea Berta agrees inital terms with Arsenal

Despite Arsenal refusing to confirm Andrea Berta being offered the role as sporting director, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that the 53-year-old has already agreed initial terms with the North London c🅷lub.

Berta has emerged as the leading contender and TBR Football has learned that he has rejected the chance to even meet with Milan as he believed he was on ꧒course to land the job with Arsenal.

The search for Edu Gaspar’s successor has seen managing🧜 co-owner Josh Kroenke and managing director Rich🀅ard Garlick head the chase.

Arsenal have spoken to a host of candidates including former Manchester United and Newcastle chief Dan Ashworth and Real Sociedad’s Roberto Olabe.

Meanwhile, TBR Football has also recently revealed that Luis Campos is very happy at PSG despite links with a new role at Arsenal.

Andrea Berta would face a substantial yet exciting task at Arsenal

Wheꦺther it’s Berta or another sporting director to take charge at the Emirates, the next man faces a very busy summer in North London.

Arsenal fans are expecting one of their biggest transfer windows in the club’s history following what looks set to be another unsuccessful Premier League title charge.

Mikel Arteta’s team were left high and dr꧙y in their pursuit ofꦇ a striker in January as the North London club opted to stick with what they already have.

Injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus have made that decision look rather foolish with Mikel Merino having to play up front.

The next Arsenal sporting director will be tasked with signing a top new number nine and rejuvenating the Gunners’ 🧜front line.
