Andre Gomes should ignore Tottenham and join Wolves’ Portuguese revolution
Andre Gomes looks set to be on his way to the Premier League this season. The Barcelona midfielder has been told he can leave the Nou Camp after a difficult spell with the Catalans since moving from Valencia. The likes of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham have all been linked with his services recently. But it is the most recent of teams in the hunt for his services that Gomes should move to, newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Whilst a move to Tottenham might be more appealing, given the Champions League football on offer, Molineux would be the better location to get his stuttering career back on track.
Why Wolves?
Firstly, he would be in good company. The club have numerous Portuguese talents including the likes of Ruben Neves, Ivan Cavaleiro and Diogo Jota. Gomes would, therefore, find settling into the new surroundings comfortable.
The Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, is also a clear fan of the player. He was the manager at Valencia when the Spanish side snapped up Gomes from Benfica.
But mostly, the reason why Gomes should choose Wolves is simple. Because he would play. Gomes would be a regular in the Premier League for the newbies, rather than sitting on the bench at Tottenham.
At 24-years-old he needs to be playing regular football and the idea of Gomes and Neves pulling the strings in midfield is certainly an exciting one for Wolves fans to envision.
If Gomes is thinking straight this summer, he should make that a reality for the Wolves faithful.
