Report: West Ham offer European outfit the chance to sign ace for just £6.8m; started just four games last year

West Ham have offered Lazio the chance to sign Felipe Anderson for just €8m (£6.8m), according to .

However, the Italian outfit aren’t the only club interested in signing the winger. Turkish giants Galatasaray are thought to be keen on adding the player to their squad ahead of next season.

The report comes just weeks after it emerged that the Irons are looking to clear the decks this summer. Anderson, along with Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini, have been put up for sale by the club.

He endured a torrid time on loan with Porto last season, featuring just across all competitions. As a result, the Liga NOS outfit weren’t keen on a permanent transfer for the attacker.

TBR View: £6.8m valuation of Anderson a sign of desperation from West Ham

When the South American arrived at the London Stadium, there was a sense that he could take the club to the next level.

He cost the club a staggering from Lazio and was even compared to the likes of . However, the 28-year-old has quickly turned into a massive flop.

The £6.8m valuation from West Ham of Anderson is a sign of how desperate the Hammers are to get rid of him.

It’s a sign of how lowly Anderson is valued after his disastrous loan spell with Porto. The attacker started just four games last term, scoring and assisting no goals for the outfit.

His lack of game time coupled with his woeful performances means the east Londoners are failing to demand much.

And with the team having registered a pre-tax loss of £65.3m back in March, funds are extremely tight this window.

The club will have to be smart in raising funds this summer as they look to build a squad to challenge in four competitions next season.
