Anderson doubtful, but West Ham may have a timely saviour
West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson is currently a doubt to face Brighton this weekend.
The Brazilian limped off against Manchester City last weekend, but had played down the issue afterwards.

He said: “I picked up a small injury. I tried to get back in, but I think it’s good that I didn’t because we’re just starting and I have all the rest of the season to play.”
It had seemed as though the Brazilian would be OK to face Brighton this weekend, but Manuel Pellegrini has now thrown that into doubt.
Speaking in a press conference, the Argentine tactician said that both he and Sebastien Haller were recovering from knocks and that the club would see how they are on Friday.

£42 million signing Anderson () potentially missing the game would be a blow for West Ham, who need their best players in order to bounce back against a confident Brighton side.
That said, the club may just have the perfect replacement, with forgotten man Andriy Yarmolenko back in the first-team picture.
TBR’s view
The Ukraine international is finally back after sustaining a serious Achilles injury in October of last year, which required the player to undergo surgery.

Although he didn’t make the bench against City, the star has been in full training for at least a month and could have some involvement against Brighton.
If Anderson fails to make the game, then Pellegrini could make the bold decision to put the 29-year-old in from the start.
It could prompt a reshuffle, with Yarmolenko to play from the right, Manuel Lanzini left and Pablo Fornals in the hole.
