Ancelotti should use Ben Godfrey to help Everton land Norwich star Max Aarons
Reports emerging today suggest Everton could be in the hunt to sign Norwich defender, Max Aarons, as Carlo Ancelotti looks for more additions.
claims that the Toffees could be lining up a move for Aarons, who Norwich are said to value at around the £30m mark.
And it could well prove a smart signing, too. Jamal Lewis, who moved from Norwich to Newcastle in the summer, has done well, and Aarons was – in some people’s eyes – said to be the better of the two.

Everton will eventually need a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman and Aarons, with his speed, crossing, and capable defensive skillset, would appear to tick all the boxes.
Furthermore, the Toffees might just have an ace up their sleeve when it comes to landing Aarons, in the form of summer signing, Ben Godfrey.
Players talk
Managers and players will always deny it, but it’s widely recognised in football that players who have played together get in the ear of one another if a move could be on the cards.
This will be no different with Ben Godfrey and could well play into Everton’s and Ancelotti’s hands if they wish to land Aarons.
When at Carrow Road, the trio of Godfrey, Lewis, and Aarons was talked about a lot. They were the three staples of Daniel Farke’s defence, with just Aarons now remaining in Norwich yellow.

Surely, then, Ancelotti will be hoping that Godfrey can have a quiet word with Aarons? Of course, he shouldn’t need much convincing to sign for a club like Everton, but with clubs like Barcelona having shown interest before, every little can help.
The Everton boss won’t ever admit it if it does happen, but from the outside looking in, the Italian has to be utilising Godfrey if he is serious about landing Max Aarons.
