‘Amazing’: Some West Ham fans react after hearing who club could reportedly buy next month
A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to welcome the report claiming Craig Dawson could join the Hammers permanently for as little as £2million by April.
The 30-year-old defender has been in simply sensational form for the Hammers this season, helping David Moyes’ side remain in contention for a Champions League spot.
Dawson linked up with the Hammers on a season-long loan from Watford in October for a reported £1million loan fee, along with an option to buy.

Although Dawson didn’t feature in a senior West Ham game until their last Premier League fixture of 2020, he’s been one of the first names on Moyes’ team sheet ever since.
To date, the £40,000-a-week star has made 14 competitive appearances for the East Londoners, putting in plenty of superb defensive displays and also scoring four goals in all competitions.
According to , Dawson is three Premier League starts away from triggering a permanent move to West Ham for £2million plus add-ons.
The payment will reportedly be due after his 15th league start which, barring injury, could come as early as away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on April 3.
Dawson will then start a two-year deal from this summer, added .
Needless to say, many West Ham fans are delighted with the report:

United buy the worst defender in the league for 80 million and we get the blue passport beckenbaur for 2 mill
— alfie smith (@alfiejsmith)
That would mean we signed Soucek, Coufal, Bowen, Dawson and Benrahma for less than Arsenal paid for Pepe 😂
