‘Amazing’… Darren Bent shares what he’s noticed about Leeds United this season, picks top two
Leeds United have the chance to secure a 13th win from 14 Championship games since the turn of the year on Sunday when they face Millwall – and Darren Bent said he’s been amazed by the Whites.
Leeds currently sit in second after beating Sheffield Wednesday last Friday, while Ipswich suffered a loss to Cardiff. The Welsh side scored twice in extra time to come back and beat the Tractor Boys.
For much of the season, Leicester and Ipswich have dominated the top two. But Ipswich fell off, and Leeds took advantage. Southampton seem out of the running at the moment. Nine games left to play.
Leicester have also fallen off the wagon somewhat, winning just one of the last five. Just three points separate Leeds and The Foxes. This weekend, Leeds can go top, with Leicester playing in The FA Cup.
, Bent raved about Leeds and their run of form in the last few weeks. Bent also responded when asked who will finish in the top two places.

“They’re the team at the minute. They’re the ones that can catch Leicester, which is amazing after the start to the season he had,” Bent said. Asked who will finish in the top two, he said: “Leeds and Ipswich”.

Leeds are showing the required form to finish in the top two and, even more importantly, are timing it to perfection. It isn’t Daniel Farke’s first rodeo, he’s getting the best out of the side when it means most.
Do Leeds have enough steam left in the tank to continue this run of form in the next nine games? We will have to wait and see, but of the four front-runners, Leeds do seem the best at this moment in time.
