‘Amazing business’: Some Aston Villa fans react to transfer news coming from Crystal Palace

Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after Crystal Palace announced the signing of Michael Olise from Reading.
What’s the story?
Well, the Eagles may have just pulled off one of the signings of the summer, and it seems the Villa Park faithful are a bit jealous.
It’s a simply fantastic signing. Olise scored goals and provided assists in the Championship last season.
Only Emiliano Buendia set up more goals with assists, although he has cost substantially more than Olise at .
Why didn’t Aston Villa activate the clause?

An attack of Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish, Buendia and Olise would’ve been absolutely outstanding, so why didn’t Dean Smith make it happen?
The Villans have great financial strength, so surely they could’ve easily afforded the £8m clause.
Aston Villa have also shown far more ambition than Crystal Palace in recent years, so their project is arguably more attractive.

Nevertheless, something at Crystal Palace attracted Olise, and the ink has now dried on the dotted line.
Let’s see what the Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been saying about Crystal Palace’s latest signing…
If Villa’s CM recruitment criteria & data analysis had created a list with Michael Olise’s name at the top of it, & the background character checks backed up the numbers, he’d be a Villa player already. But he’s not. We need to wrap our heads around this new approach.

8 million for Olise! Amazing business, I thought Villa might have taken a punt on him. Slightly jealous!

Palace have signed Olise, that's decent.

But let's ignore the fact Zaha wants out, Eze is injured, they have an ageing squad, lots of players contracts are almost up and they have Viera as their manager.
Eze last year, Olise this year. 2 great signing, would have loved them both at Villa
