Amanda Staveley’s potential Tottenham investment could bring something which won’t please Daniel Levy

Tottenham Hotspur will be making their return to action on the weekend following the latest international break.

It is a break which did not come at a great time for Ange Postecoglou’s side who will have hoped to right their wrongs following their latest defeat.

Tottenham have now lost as many games as they have won this season having thrown away their 2-0 lead last time out against Brighton & Hove Albion.

But the international break has seen a lot going on in north London despite a number of players jetting off to represent their respective nations.

The long-term relationship with the NFL has seen two American Football games take place in north London.

And in attendance for the latest game on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was the former Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley.

Amanda Staveley is interested in Tottenham investment

Staveley is believed to have an interest in joining the Tottenham board as she is already eyeing potential backroom changes.

Spurs have now seen the same figures at the top of the club for the best part of a quarter of a century with Daniel Levy still the chairman.

But the north London side are actively looking to find new investment as they aim to spruce things up off the pitch and on it.

However, has now admitted there is something about Staveley which Levy may not be that keen on.

“Yeah, fascinated dynamic with her and Daniel Levy, and how that would work, and because he is a very kind of hands on,” said Gold.

“Yeah, and maybe they’ll [new investors] talk to us. Maybe we’ll get more interviews with someone else. And like I said, the whole dynamic is gonna be fascinating, because Spurs don’t like noise, they don’t, they don’t at all, and we’ll see.”

Tottenham need change at the top

Since Levy and ENIC took over in north London, the returns on the pitch simply have not been good enough with just one trophy lifted.

There has been a lot of progress made off the pitch on the business side of the club, however, fans want to see that translated into silverware.

Staveley and co brought immediate change at Newcastle following their takeover in 2021 and it did not take them long to reach their first cup final under Eddie Howe.

Perhaps a change could see something similar happen at Tottenham or at least provide something different behind the scenes with Levy holding a closed shop in north London.
