Amad Diallo names who he thinks is simply the greatest Man United player in Premier League history

Every player who signs for Manchester United is aware of the long list of legends to have played for them in the Premier League.

Amad Diallo would have grown up watching several of 🌟such world-class players who set the world alight at Old Trafford.

The Ivorian winger himself is continuing to go from strength to strength in a Manchester United shirt, registering three🥀 g⛄oals and six assists in all competitions this season.

Playing in a new role as a right wing-back in Ruben Amorim’s tactical systꦰem, the former Atalanta forward has been thriving.

Amorim hailed Diallo’s talent recently as well, crediting Ruud van Nistelꦯrooy for helping in 🌌his development as well.

Being an attacking player by trade, the 22-year-old has plenty of Manchester United players to look up to, whether that in🔥cludes the club’s former greats or current superstars.

For instance, Diallo praised Marcus Rashford as the best player he has ever played with.

The youngster would also be enjoying playing with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho to name 🌼a few.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Diallo was asked to name the greatest player to have ever played for Manchester United in the Premier League and his answer was Wayne Rooney.

“[Wayne] Rooney𝕴. I like him as a player and as a man. Last year, when I was injured, I met him and he tried to give me some advice. I love him fo൲r what he did for the club.”

Even James Maddison sang Wayne Rooney’s praises, claim💙ing that he is the greatest player to have played in Premier League history.

While Gary Neville lauded Rooney as “the best by a mile” when looking back at the strikers he꧋ played with at Mancheste🎀r United.

It’s safe to say that the retired goalscorer’s legacy as a Premier League legend is set in stone.

Rooney’s 🌸record during his time in the English top-flight emphasise how special a player he was.

Rooney’s record no other player has in Premier League history

Rooney is the onl🥀y player to have registered over 200 goals and 100 assists in the Premier League.

The on🅰ly two other players to have scored 200 goals in the league were Alan🍬 Shearer (260) and Harry Kane (213).

🐻But Shearer and Kane had 64 and 46 assists respectively during their timeജ in Premier League.

While Diallo was referring to only Manchester United legends, Wayne Rooney could have a claim of being the absolute best player to have e♈ver graced the Premier League due to this very statistic.

Rooney, alongside the🧜 likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes and Roy Keane to name a few would also be eligible to be bestowed with such a huge compliment/
