‘Almost certain’…£20m Tottenham player now set to leave with ‘three or four massive clubs’ keen
Tottenham didn’t quite move the players on they wanted in January despite bringing in some good signings.
Spurs backed Ange Postecoglou in the market as Radu Dragusin, Timo Werner and Lucas Bergvall all arrived at the club to strengthen the pack.
However, a number of Tottenham players also stayed put, despite continued reports they’d leave.
Among them, was Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who stayed in north London despite a host of clubs apparently being keen on signing him.
But according to journalist Paul Brown, Hojbjerg’s exit is almost inevitable anyway and in the summer, Brown has said the Dane will move on.

Hojbjerg expected to leave Tottenham in 2024
Speaking to , Brown explained that a number of ‘massive’ clubs have been looking at Hojbjerg and his exit is still expected.
“I think Hojbjerg is almost certain to leave Tottenham in the summer. He’s been available for the right price in the last two windows. He is willing to move on if a new challenge arises. He is not the first choice in his position, and at this stage of his career, I think he wants to be playing somewhere where he can start week-to-week,” Brown .
“Three or four massive clubs have been sniffing around him for the last few months, and I think he would jump at the chance to join. None of them were willing to do a permanent deal for the kind of money that Spurs wanted. They were looking at loans primarily, which is not of interest to Tottenham. But I think in the summer that might change. His price will drop slightly because his contract has less time to run, and I think he will likely leave.”
Still a part to play
Hojbjerg might be on his way out of the club and not be the first choice under Postecoglou by any stretch.
But there is still a role for the Danish midfielder to play this season and he’s already shown he has the professionalism and quality to step in when required.
Hojbjerg will play his part this season and do well when required. However, as Brown says here, that summer move will still likely happen.
Tottenham paid to sign Hojbjerg and in the main, he’s been value for money. If he does go this summer, then Spurs fans will probably wish him well.
