Allardyce has to lure West Ham attacker to West Brom, amid reports – TBR View

West Ham United are reportedly willing to get rid of winger Andriy Yarmolenko ahead of the January transfer window as the Ukranian continues to struggle at the London Stadium – and Sam Allardyce has to take advantage.

Yarmolenko, 31, joined West Ham for a fee of £17.5million () in the summer of 2018 but since then, the winger has managed just 42 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions. This season, he has not been afforded a league start.

He has come on six times but the 92-time international is on the firing list given his £115,000-a-week wages (). But the experienced wide man can count himself unfortunate for his lack of game time, given his Carabao Cup form.

Two goals and three assists in the cup in just three games has not been enough for David Moyes to hand him a league start. that West Ham are willing to listen to offers for Yarmolenko in the January window.

West Brom do have options out wide, meanwhile. Allardyce has taken over a side that boast Callum Robinson, Karlan Grant, Kamil Grosicki, Matt Phillips, Grady Diangana and Matheus Pereira as options on the flanks.

But Robinson and Grant are being used up front, while Grosicki’s future at the Hawthorns is in doubt. Pereira is more of a 10, so West Brom – even though they have the numbers – could do with a winger and Yarmolenko would be ideal.

Raiding his former side in West Ham, Allardyce needs to consider a loan move for Yarmolenko until the end of the season to give his Baggies side the ability to produce something out of nothing, that bit of magic to get them out of trouble.
