Allan raves about ‘quality’ Everton 22-year-old, makes international claim
Allan has given a glowing verdict on the ability of Everton teammate Tom Davies, who he’s claimed could be an important player in the future for England on the international stage.
Allan, 30, is an experienced central midfielder that has added some extra class at Goodison Park during his first year on Merseyside.
Liverpool-born Davies is a fellow central midfielder, and he’s played alongside him at various parts of the season.
Davies has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, with the youngster bringing real energy and enthusiasm whenever he’s on the pitch.
It’s quite a claim to suggest the 22-year-old will be an important player for England in the future, as he’s yet to earn a senior cap. However, he’s been a regular during various age groups, and has even captained England’s Under-21s side in the past.
“I’m certain Tom will have a great career… he already has one, of course, but an even better one, as an important player in English football and in the England team,” .
“He’s a quality player and a great guy. Someone who’s always looking to support his teammates. I hope we can do great things playing alongside each other in an Everton shirt.”

TBR’s View:
It’s not been faultless, but Davies has had a decent season this year for Everton.
The midfielder hasn’t nailed down a permanent spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s XI, but that’s not a surprise given the quality additions of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure last summer.
Everton’s academy graduate enjoyed a purple patch of form earlier in the campaign, and on his day he’s an aggressive midfielder who works his socks off.
If he keeps maturing, then Davies has the potential to get much better in the future.
