Ex-Colombia manager backs Rangers star Alfredo Morelos to replace Luis Suarez at Barcelona
Colombia’s greatest ever manager Jorge Luis Pinto has backed Rangers star, Alfredo Morelos, as the perfect signing for Barcelona,
The Spanish giants are currently without Luis Suarez who has a knee injury and Pinto believes El Buffalo is the ideal alternative.
Rangers have maintained for some time that Morelos is not for sale.
Barcelona’s interest would probably change that stance, although at this stage there is no indication they are actually keen to sign him.

Pinto led Colombia to the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and he thinks that Morelos should be targeted by Barca.
“Alfredo Morelos would be the ideal striker to replace Luis Suarez for me.
“Why not? His performances in the last year certainly suggest that he could replace him. He has been a battering ram at Rangers.
“I’ve got huge admiration for what Alfredo has achieved so far n European football and he’s still young.”
Morelos has a tremendous goalscoring record for the Ibrox giants. In 126 appearances he has bagged 76 goals and it’s easy to see why Steven Gerrard wouldn’t want to lose him.
Certain clubs talk, however. The harsh reality for Rangers is that Barcelona will have a significant pull.

It does seem unlikely that Barcelona will view the Colombian as the man to replace the £380,000-a-week star .
Quality
Pinto’s comments do highlight that people are talking about Morelos.
Some outsiders have questioned whether his temperament will stop him getting a move to a top European league.
Strikers who score goals will always catch the eye though. Given that Morelos is only 23 too, it does seem inevitable that he will leave at some point.
