Alexis Mac Allister reveals the change he’s made in Liverpool training because of Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah is not only one of Liverpool’s best players, he’s one of the Reds’ most influential players.
Indeed, Salah is arguably Liverpool’s best player, and he’s also the standard-bearer at Anfield.
Salah is the hardest-working player at Anfield, and when that attitude translates into results on the pitch, that does rub off on others.
Speaking on The Rest is Football, Alexis Mac Allister has been discussing Salah and how hard he trains at Liverpool.
The Argentine says he’s been blown away by how Salah works, and he says that he’s changed his routine to be more in line with what the attacker is doing.

Alexis Mac Allister has changed his Liverpool training regime
Mac Allister spoke about how hard Salah works, claiming that he’s changed his training routine because of the Egyptian.
“Yeah, first thing, consistency is key. He showed it. He’s amazing,” Mac Allister said.
“And when you have him, you know that he’s going to deliver and get the goals and assists that you need. So that’s why he’s so important. And then off the pitch, he demands a lot from him and from his teammates.”
“So since I arrived to Liverpool, I think I changed a little bit my routine before I didn’t used to go to the gym as much as now. And that’s because of him.
“Yeah, that’s one thing (his physique). But the other thing is that he tells you that you need to be professional, you need to go to a gym and do this kind of thing. So, yeah, it’s a pleasure to work with him.
“And I think he really helps the players around.”

Mac Allister is trying to be more like Salah behind the scenes, and that certainly isn’t a bad example to follow.
Indeed, Salah is certainly doing something right in training, because he’s been utterly brilliant this season.

Salah is a Ballon d’Or contender after his incredible start to this season, and he’s playing a huge part in Liverpool’s rise to the top of the Premier League.
Not only is Salah scoring and assisting, he’s also leading by example and forcing his teammates to push that bit harder in training.
Salah’s contract is up in the summer, and if the winger does leave Liverpool, the Reds will be losing a lot more than just an immensely talented footballer, they’ll be losing a leader and a role model.
