Alasdair Gold thinks one Spurs player will have to think about his future soon
Alasdair Gold has revealed that he feels Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks will end up ‘fourth choice’ under Antonio Conte.
The 26-year-old has come through the ranks at Spurs and is closing in on 200 competitive appearances for the club.
However, Winks has struggled to cement a place in the starting XI this season.

He has made 24 appearances in all competitions, with 17 of those being starts, of which nine have come in the Premier League.
Winks’ last display came in the FA Cup extra-time defeat to Middlesbrough, a game in which he struggled.
Against Everton, Conte opted to bring Rodrigo Bentancur back into the XI alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Oliver Skipp is currently on the sidelines due to a groin injury, so Conte is light in midfield right now.
But Gold feels that, once the 21-year-old is available, Winks will drop below him in the pecking order.
This means he could well have to think about his future come the end of the season.
Gold took part in a session on Wednesday for Tottenham fans.
One asked him about where a fully-fit Skipp fits in the equation alongside Hojbjerg, Bentancur and Winks.
The fan also wondered whether Conte would opt for a three-man midfield considering Dejan Kulusevski’s form.
“I think it’s a battle between those three,” replied Gold.
“And unfortunately for Harry Winks I think he’ll end up being fourth choice, which might dictate what he decides to do in the summer.
“Right now, as you say, Deki’s form means a midfield three is going to be rare.”
