Alasdair Gold says two Spurs players will have ‘big old part’ under Nuno, both loaned out last season

Alasdair Gold is reporting that Tottenham youngsters Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon are both set to play important roles in the new season.

Football London reporter Gold claims the Spurs duo are going to be with the first team in the 2021/22 campaign after both spending the previous year out on loan.

New Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo is going to keep both available to him.

“I’m told Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon are going to play a big old part in the season,” Gold .

Skipp, 20, is a highly rated central midfielder that looks ready for the Premier League after thriving out on loan at Norwich City last season. The Englishman was an ever-present in the Norwich XI as they flew to Championship promotion.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Sessegnon was loaned out to Germany last season. The left-sided flyer impressed with Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim. He played as both a wing-back and full-back.

Can Skipp and Sessegnon be breakout stars at Tottenham?

It’s a clean slate for the entire Spurs squad under Nuno, so it’s no surprise to hear some loan stars will be integrated into the main fold.

Skipp, who’s already made 23 senior appearances for Spurs, was excellent last year at Norwich.

The deep-lying midfielder should have confidence to break into the side because spots are up for grabs.

In addition, Sessegnon should have no fear when it comes to pushing for minutes.

Similarly, he’s had a taste of senior football with Spurs. He’s a rising star that can offer some genuine width to the squad.
