Alasdair Gold ‘really impressed’ by one Tottenham youngster vs K-League XI
Tottenham Hotspur defeated K-League XI and one youngster really stood out.
The North Londoners continued their pre-season preparations on Wednesday afternoon as they faced the K-League’s best 11 in Seoul.
Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring before Son Heung-min added the second and third just before half-time.
Two quickfire goals from K-League XI ensued after the interval until promising young forward Will Lankshear netted his side’s fourth of the game.
The high-scoring clash continued when Oberdan brought the score back to 4-3 and that’s how it ended, with Postecoglou’s side picking up their fifth win of the summer.
One Tottenham teenager particularly impressed Alasdair Gold.

Alasdair Gold really impressed by Jamie Donley
Jamie Donley has been a regular this pre-season under Ange Postecoglou and produced another bright display operating at left-back.
journalist Alasdair Gold said he was really impressive during the first half: “Donley puts a lovely ball across the face of goal but unfortunately nobody is there to tap home.
“The Tottenham youngster has really impressed in the first half.”
shared that same notion as he took to X, saying: “Jamie Donley has really caught the eye at LB.”
Will Jamie Donley continue at left-back?
Donley progressed through the Tottenham youth ranks as a forward, netting 38 times for the under-18s and 21s.
However, Postecoglou has continued to deploy him as a left-back and if he continues to shine there, that may become his permanent position.
Though, it’s worth noting that Archie Gray played at centre-back for much of the summer but returned to his favoured midfield role against K-League XI, so perhaps the Spurs boss is just experimenting.
In other news, a ‘world class’ attacker has just rejected two clubs after rumours he wants to join Tottenham.
