Alasdair Gold hints Tottenham duo Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko could leave the club this summer
Football.london’s Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold has claimed that he wouldn’t be shocked if Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier were to leave before the start of next season.
Speaking about the duo in a YouTube video, Gold claimed that he could see the two players leave the club this summer.

When talking about the two players, : “I think we will see a couple of that quartet [Lo Celso, Ndombele, Aurier and Sissoko], gone before the start of next season, that’s my gut feeling. It’s been no secret that Serge Aurier has wanted to leave the club in the past and obviously, he’s coming into the final 12 months of his contract.”
“Moussa Sissoko also coming into the final 12 months of his contract, although there is an option to extend his by another year. I do wonder whether those two players, we might, may have seen play their last Tottenham Hotspur game. I’m not going to say that for definite because ultimately bids have got to come in.”

Much like their north London rivals, Spurs need to undergo what can only be described as a massive overhaul.
The lack of quality within the squad is quite staggering and at times has left even their star man, Harry Kane, wondering what more he could do.
And the first place and best place to start would be with players who have rarely featured and have a year to run on their contract. In this case, Aurier and Sissoko provide the greatest opportunity to kick-start what can be a new era at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Neither player has really made an impact on the squad which would convince many they deserve to be kept at the club.

No Champions League football for the second-year should awake the higher authorities at the club into rebuilding what is a poor, unbalanced squad.
