Alan Stubbs reacts to Celtic signing Jonjoe Kenny on loan
Alan Stubbs has claimed that Jonjoe Kenny is a better player than Jeremie Frimpong after Celtic signed the Everton youngster on loan, .
The Hoops were busy in the final days of the January window. However, the large majority of their business involved players leaving Parkhead.

Frimpong and Olivier Ntcham were the two headline names to leave before the deadline. But they also managed to bring Kenny in.
The 23-year-old has been on the fringes of Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti’s plans this term. He arrives having made one Premier League start for the Toffees.
But Stubbs – who coached the right-back during his time at Goodison Park – insisted that Celtic have produced an inspired piece of business getting the youngster in.

“I think it is a real coup for Celtic, frankly. I could tell you what he can’t do, but that wouldn’t take long,” he said, . “He isn’t as quick as Frimpong, but he is a better player.
“He is a better crosser and has a great appreciation of how the game is played. He has that special football intelligence. So while he might not have tremendous pace, he makes up for that with his game sense. As the saying goes, the first five yards are played in the head.”
TBR View: Loan could be inspired if Celtic can agree future move
Celtic fans will be hoping that the door is not shut on another deal further down the line. Unfortunately, they do not appear to be in a position where they would benefit greatly from impact signings.
Of course, they will be desperate to turn their fortunes around. And they will be reluctant to throw the towel in while winning the title is mathematically possible.
But their hopes for this season look bleak. And thus, it would be wise to turn some attention to the next campaign.
Moving players such as Frimpong and Ntcham on looks smart. And if there is scope for Kenny’s time at the club to be extended beyond this season in some capacity, this loan could prove a masterstroke.
