Alan Smith says 24-year-old Gunners ace ‘has looked better in an Arsenal shirt’ the more he’s played
Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior earned praise from Gunners icon Alan Smith following his efforts against Sheffield United on Monday night.
The Arsenal full-back delivered another impressive performance as the Gunners ran out 6-0 winners over the blunt Blades in South Yorkshire.
Arsenal were simply rampant against Sheffield United, racing into a three-goal lead by the quarter-hour mark and 5-0 up by the break.
The Gunners then added a sixth before the hour before subsequently taking the foot off the gas, the points well safe by then.
Kiwior needed a little time to find his feet at Arsenal but he’s now very much firing on all cylinders and contributing plenty to the cause. He even contributed an assist on the night.

Smith liked what he saw from the Poland international, praising him shortly after he headed wide in the 79th minute of the match.
“Jakub Kiwior has looked better in an Arsenal shirt the more games he has played,” he said on Sky Sports, as transcribed on .
“That was a chance for another goalscorer to get on the scoresheet!”
‘s Kaya Kaynak gave Kiwior an 8 out of 10 on the night and wrote: “Got forward well and grabbed another assist. Could even have got a goal to go with it.
“Looks to be finding his feet with a run in the side.”
Jakub Kiwior fully up to speed at Arsenal
Kiwior previously struggled at Arsenal, which led to some criticism and, during the January transfer window, speculation over his future.
However, the main issue seemed to be with Mikel Arteta asking him to invert. Now that this responsibility has largely been taken off him, we’re starting to see his true qualities.
It’s great to see him now shining as a key member of the Arsenal squad, and he gives Arteta another option at left-back alongside Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
