Alan Shearer thinks he’s spotted big ‘problems’ with three players at Manchester United

Alan Shearer thinks he’s spotted big ‘problems’ with three players at Manchester United now.

Speaking on , the Newcastle United legend raised concerns about Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford over the weekend.

Erik ten Hag had been enjoying an upturn in form in the league after picking up three wins last month. United did put in a poor display at St James’ Park after but they had seemingly turned a corner with a brilliant win over Chelsea last week.

Yet, their lacklustre performance against the Cherries has ramped the pressure up on Ten Hag once again.

And Alan Shearer believes he’s spotted problems with three of United’s players, including Maguire and Rashford.

Shearer has spotted problems with three United stars

Shearer reflected on United’s shock defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday and feels it’s obvious there is an issue in the dressing room.

“We’ve been in the game long enough for us three to know, looking at that performance and their attitudes, that is not a happy camp,” the Newcastle legend said. “There are splits in the dressing room, you can tell.

“I don’t know but I’m just looking at the body language of players. I’m looking at, in particular the captaincy from Maguire, I look at the problem he’s got with Sancho, Marcus Rashford’s body language, wherever I look I just see problems.”

Maguire scooped the Premier League Player of the Month in November after stepping back into the side and helping them earn three clean sheets.

The Englishman has been criticised heavily over the past year and was even stripped of the captaincy over the summer.

As for Rashford, his form has fallen off a cliff after such a brilliant campaign last time out. He’s cut a frustrated figure over the past few weeks and is clearly struggling for form and confidence.

The issues between Sancho and Ten Hag have been evident after the United winger hit out at his boss on social media in early September.

The Englishman has since been banished from the first team after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag.

It’s fair to say that United are going through a tough period at the moment and things don’t look set to get any easier. The Red Devils face a huge clash against Bayern Munich tonight before heading to Anfield this weekend.
