Alan Shearer says he’d be so annoyed if two Manchester United players were his teammates
Alan Shearer has claimed that he would be so frustrated if Manchester United duo Antony and Alejandro Garnacho were playing either side of him.
The Red Devils were made to work hard this week but they got the job done against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. They are through to the next round now, but Shearer was far from happy with Manchester United‘s performance.

Alan Shearer criticises Manchester United’s Antony and Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a goal from Casemiro earlier this week, but one man was at the end of a ton of criticism – Marcus Rashford.
The England international was deployed through the middle due to the unavailability of Rasmus Hojlund, and it has to be said that he didn’t have a great game.
Jamie O’Hara blasted Rashford’s work rate, and Alan Shearer wasn’t too happy with him either during commentary on Wednesday night.
The Newcastle United legend expanded on his views on Rashford on the this week, but he admitted that he too would be frustrated if Alejandro Garnacho and Antony played either side of him.
Shearer said: “You know what? In that team, and I said last night on co-comms, I’d get frustrated in that team if I was playing with Antony on the right side keep on forever coming in on his left and Garnacho on the left keep on forever coming in on his right side.
“I would be frustrated too at times.”

Manchester United’s wingers need to be more unpredictable
Wingers cutting inside is very popular now, and all the great wide players do that. However, that can’t be your only move every single time.
Antony is very left-footed, so when he doesn’t cut back in on his left foot, he struggles. Alejandro Garnacho is slightly better than the Brazilian, but he too can be predictable at times.
That makes the opposition full-back’s life very easy and as Shearer said above, it would be extremely frustrating if you’re a striker waiting for a cut-back inside the box.
Erik ten Hag would’ve certainly noticed this and would want his wingers to be unpredictable as well. If they are not, teams will have no fear when they come up against them.
