Alan Shearer says £120k-a-week Liverpool player was ‘all over the park’ v AC Milan

Liverpool made amends for their shock Premier League defeat at the weekend by recording a superb comeback victory in their Champions League opener.

The Reds fluffed their lines in their 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at Anfi🌟eld, and it looked like they were set for more of the same against AC Milan.

Liverpool conceded after just three minutes, as Christian Pulisic sprinted un𝄹challenged towards Alisson Becker’s goal and fired a low drive into the far corner.

However, Arne Slot’s charges found their feet and eventually found a much-needed eq🙈ualiser against the Rossoneᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚri.

In the 23rﷺd minute, Trent Alexander-Arnold wh💜ipped in a cross which Ibrahima Konate nodded home from just six yards out.

Liverpool continued to threaten🐟, with Mohamed Salah💛 striking the woodwork twice in the first half.

Eventual🅠ly, the Reds’ pressure paid off as Virgil van Dijk headed home against a static Milan defence just before tඣhe break.

Although Milan fought back, they couldn’t find an equaliser, and Liverpool eventually got a third, Dominik Szoboszlai converting with a simple finish on 67 minutes.

Alan Shearer says Dominik Szoboszlai was ‘all over the park’ for Liverpool

The Premier League legend told Amazon Sport (17/9/2024, 10:25pm) that Szoboszl♍ai was everywhere on the San Siro pitch.

Shearer liked how the ace chipped in at the back, pushed forward – as per his goal – and obviously shone in the middle of💞 the park.

“I thought the midfield three worked really, really w🌺ell, but he was the pick of the bunch,” said Shearer.

“He was all over the park. Whenever he had to defend, hel🌺p his defenders out, he was willing to do that.

“You saw with his goal, whꦐenever he had to attack, which he did on several occasions, that he was more than willing to get in there and he finished it off really, really well.”
