Alan Shearer that despite being on the losing side in Everton’s clash with Aston Villa on Saturday, Jordan Pickford was excellent for the Toffees.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men have now won only one of their last eight games. They were beaten 2-1 by the Villans at G🙈oodison Park at the 🍎weekend.

But the scoreline could have arguably been a lot worse for Evert🍰on had it not been for Pickford’s performanc🅰e.
The 27-year-old made a꧋ number of outstanding stops to keep Dean Smith’s side at bay. And his performance was good enough for Sh൲earer to name him in his Team of the Week.

“He made several excellent saves,” .❀ “That performance bodes well for England this summer.”
Pickford – who earns £100,000-a-week, – arguably has a point to prove on Merseyside. Everton are looking to take that next step under Ancelotti and will be hoping to strengthen the squad ♊this summer.
There were times this season when it appeared that Pickford may be facing a fight for his future. He has made mistakes. And Ancelotti has opted to pick Robin O🌊lsen ahead of him on a few occasions this season.
But Pickford is threatening to silence all of his doubters. And his purple patch may be perfectly-timed with Ancelotti drawing up his summer plans and Gaಞreth Southgate considering who will be his number one at the Europea𝓡n Championships.
