Alan Shearer chooses who will finish fourth this season… Tottenham or Aston Villa
Alan Shearer has now been having his say on who he thinks will finish fourth between Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa this season.
Both Unai Emery and Ange Postecoglou are having outstanding campaigns respectively, even if Villa will still be so disappointed at how yesterday unfolded.

Emery would have been approaching the game full of optimism that Villa could have strengthened their claim on the fourth Champions League spot, but instead it proved to be a damaging afternoon.
Not only will John McGinn now be missing for three games owing to suspension, but Spurs are also now in control of the situation with a game in hand.
Postecoglou watched his side produce something of a masterclass in the Midlands, and he’ll be hoping for more of the same for a trip to Fulham this coming weekend.
That being said, Alan Shearer has been having his say on the tussle between the two on ‘’ podcast.
Shearer discussed the race with both Gary Lineker and Micah Richards and said he personally thought Tottenham now had the advantage following their emphatic Villa win.
Alan Shearer backs Tottenham to pip Aston Villa to fourth this season
The trio, who have their fair share of top European experience, all thought Spurs were now favourites.
Lineker initially asked: “Who’s going to finish fourth, Spurs or Villa? It’s almost as difficult as the league probably, but Spurs have the momentum at the moment.

Shearer replied: “Spurs I would say, yeah, just.”
Richards added: “Spurs have got a game in hand haven’t they. Let’s just hope it’s a top five so we get Villa and Spurs in the Champions League.”
Of course, Richards is referring to the possibility of five English teams being awarded Champions League qualifying spots next season.
That will depend on England’s current teams in Europe outperforming sides from Germany in this season’s competitions.
And whilst that could prove a nice safety blanket for either Spurs or Villa, they will surely want to be in control of their own fate by finishing fourth.
Many will probably agree with Shearer’s verdict that Tottenham will now pip Villa to that spot given yesterday’s result.
But perhaps Emery’s side will bounce back with a real point to prove.
That being said, Ollie Watkins still didn’t think John McGinn deserved to be sent off yesterday.
