Shearer raves about Bradley during Liverpool vs Chelsea EFL Cup final

At the start of the season, you would have been shocked to see number 84 in the starting line-up for such a huge match for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Conor Bradley only had five senior Liverpool appearances to his name before this season but has been hig💧hly rated for some time.

He was exceptional on loan at Bolton Wanderers last seasoܫn ཧand has earned his place in Liverpool’s first team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has suffered a couple of🔯 injuries this season, and with Klopp low on numbers at lefওt-back as well, Bradley has been handed his opportunity.

It’s saꦦfe to say he’s grabbed it with both hands and when the England international is fit again, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him deployed in midfield to keep the academy graduate in the side.

Alan Shearer was verওy impressed with the start Bradley made to the game for Liverpool against Chelsea at Wembley.

He was having an impact on both boxes and when Ryan Gravenberch was stretched off with an injury, he ended up playing in an even more advꦯanced position, although did pick up a booking for his involvement in an altercation just before the break with Ben Chilwell.

That versatility w𒁃ill do him no harm g💛oing forward.

Bradley continues to impress for the Reds

Speaking 🅺about the 20-year-old’s influence in the opening minutes, Shearer said: “Yeah, he’s🐬 had a really, really good start to this game Conor Bradley.

“He’s the one that has had to defend when he’s wanted to but then he’s actually – very much like we’ve seen Tre🐟nt [Alexander-Arnold] do – and he’s gone into the midfield and seen a lot of the ball already.

“H💙e was really dangerous on that break when he played it out to the left-hand side into🎃 [Luis] Diaz.

Bra♌dley was then called into action at the back and even though he was the last man, he dealt with Nicolas Jackson brilliantly, with Shearer adding: “He had to get that ri🐻ght and he got it absolutely spot on.

“From the what have we played, 16, 17 minutes, h⛄e’s been the outstanding player on♑ the pitch at the minute Conor Bradley.”

Shearer’s praise for Bradley will ring tru🙈e for many Liverpool fans and he frustrated 𒈔Chelsea throughout the first half.

He’s been described as ‘absolutely magnificent’ in the build-u🥀p to the game a🍬nd lived up to that billing in the first half.
