Alan Pardew claims Erik ten Hag is completely misusing one Man United midfielder

Alan Pardew has given his verdict on the performance of Manchester United attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

The former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager thinks that Erik ten Hag did not use Eriksen the right way.

So, what has Alan Pardew said about Christian Eriksen? Let’s take a look.

Well, Manchester United took on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw. Spurs were the better team and played better football.

The talkSPORT pundit noted that Eriksen did not get on the ball enough to make a difference.

The 31-year-old Denmark international attacking midfielder played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 81.3%, took 22 touches, made one tackle and one clearance, and put in three crosses.

Pardew said about Eriksen on : “When I looked at United today, I was like, ‘When are they going to get Eriksen on the ball?’ Where is the formula to kind of get him some space, get him creating passes?

“I mean, all he did all day was just track and run, and he can’t do that. That’s not anything he can do that is strong in his game.”

My View: Christian Eriksen needs to be played to his strength

Christian Eriksen is an attacking midfielder, but Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has used the former Tottenham Hotspur star mostly .

I understand that Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes are similar players. Both are best used as a number 10. It is the Portuguese star who is the playmaker-in-chief for United.

Maybe United should not have signed Eriksen in the first place if they were not going to play him to his strength.
