Ajax now think they can sign £17.3m Arsenal target in the next few days
Ajax have now submitted a bid for Croatian international Josip Sutalo amid interest from Arsenal.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has shared on the Dinamo Zagreb defender.
Mikel Arteta’s squad for the upcoming season looks to be almost complete.
He’s made three key signings and looks set to add a fourth quality player to the side.
Brentford goalkeeper David Raya appears to be on his way to the Emirates, although it’s yet to be seen if he’ll usurp Aaron Ramsdale.

Outgoings have to be the focus of the next few weeks for Arsenal.
In defence, it looks as if Nuno Tavares and Rob Holding could both move on.
Kieran Tierney’s future is also up in the air as although Arteta wants him in the squad, it’s hard to see where he’ll get opportunities to play.
Arsenal have considered a move for Josip Sutalo this summer, but Ajax now feel they can sign the 23-year-old.
He may not be the most high-profile Croatian defender on the move this summer, but he’s a top talent nevertheless.
Ajax make move for Arsenal target Sutalo
Posting on social media, : “EXCL: Ajax submitted new bid for Josip Sutalo, €20m [£17.3m] fixed fee plus add-ons to sign Croatian centre back.
“Ajax now confident to get it done but want an answer in two days — or they will move on different target as new CB.”
Josip Sutalo is already a senior Croatian international, featuring at last year’s World Cup as Josko Gvardiol’s deputy.
The retirement of Dejan Lovren from international duty after the tournament has seen Sutalo start every Croatia game since the tournament.
It’s a surprise that at 23 he’s continued to play his club football in his homeland for so long.
However, the Bosnian-born defender now looks set to finally make the step up to one of Europe’s biggest leagues.
Sutalo already has plenty of Champions League experience. He helped Dinamo Zagreb defeat Chelsea in last year’s group stages.

While Arsenal’s squad isn’t blessed with players like Sutalo who have played in Europe’s top competition, Ajax now appears to be his most likely destination.
In Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba, Arsenal already have two of Europe’s most exciting young defenders.
Jakub Kiwior and Jurrien Timber are excellent backups, making a move for Sutalo a luxury rather than a necessity this summer.
