AJ Tracey reacts as Tottenham player reportedly asks to leave the club
The Athletic writer Jack Pitt-Brooke claims that Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has asked to leave. Two years after his club-record move to Spurs, the French star is yet to settle and rediscover his best form. Tottenham fan and world-renowned rapper AJ Tracey reacted on Twitter.
Ndombele, 24, joined Spurs for a fee far north of £50million in 2019. Scoring on his debut against Aston Villa, he has since failed to hit the heights of his Lyon form. He played just 29 times in his first season and while there were glimpses last season – his 46 appearances failed to get the best out of him.
Criticism has been aplenty from sections of the fanbase, but that is a given when you join as a club’s record signing. Pitt-Brooke, , says Ndombele has asked to leave – confident that there is interest from Barcelona. Whether there is, or not, is yet to be seen.
“He has asked to leave which is why he is not in the team,” “He has unrealistic expectations about where he might go. Ndombele is thinks Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are queueing up to sign him. But Madrid and Barcelona don’t have any money.”

What has AJ Tracey said, as Ndombele asks to leave Tottenham?
Ndombele is clearly a top player, capable of moments of magic. His chip against Sheffield United is beyond words, when it comes to describing his technique and skill. The midfielder is a sensation. But his work rate, commitment, attitude and other aspects – they are certainly under question.
At Lyon, he was the main man, a player that everyone looked to. At Tottenham, he is not. He is not going to start every match, he is not Harry Kane or Son Heung-min. While it is good to be confident, it is also wise to know your place.
AJ Tracey has reacted, labelling Ndombele wanting to leave Tottenham “a shame” – and questioning the view of some fans.
