Agreement for £30m Arsenal player to be sold could be within reach
Arsenal are likely to be busy on the transfer front in the coming weeks as Mikel Arteta and Edu look to strengthen their ranks ahead of deadline day.
The Gunners have made one senior signing so far this summer, bringing Riccardo Calafiori to the Emirates Stadium from Bologna, and chances are they’re not done yet.
Arsenal could well look to strengthen their attacking ranks, as they’re currently lacking an out-and-out No. 9.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of strikers in recent months, such as Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Ivan Toney.
At the same time, the Gunners are reportedly looking to move more players on, including one of the forwards on their books.
Now, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has provided an update on the state of play involving said player amid interest from an overseas suitor.

Eddie Nketiah valuation gap ‘not insurmountable’
The player in question is Eddie Nketiah, whose future at the Emirates Stadium is increasingly uncertain.
Marseille reportedly made a £23million bid for Nketiah a few days ago, which Arsenal ended up rejecting as they value him at £30million.
The Ligue 1 side then started looking elsewhere, with Elye Wahi in their sights but the Gunners have since softened their stance.
Sheth claimed on Thursday that Marseille retain an interest in Nketiah and are still deciding whether to go back in with an improved offer.
“It is thought the gap in valuation is not insurmountable if Marseille were to return with another offer,” Sheth said on .
“Nketiah is open to the move with personal terms not expected to be a problem. His primary motivation is regular first team football.”
Arsenal must wait with ball in Marseille’s court
Although Nketiah has been a good squad option for Arsenal, it doesn’t look as though he’ll go beyond that at this stage.
Nketiah is now 25 and will be eager to become a regular starter somewhere. With the Gunners seemingly unable to give him this opportunity, he’ll need to look elsewhere.
It’s good to see that Arsenal seem willing to sell the “incredible” Nketiah to Marseille, particularly as he has reportedly agreed personal terms with the French side.
The Gunners will now hope that they haven’t overplayed their hand with Marseille, so hopefully they will decide to go back in for the striker.
