Agent tips Manchester City to sign wonderkid and Pep Guardiola ‘would be interested’

Pep Guardiola may be sticking around at the Premier League champions but – Pep or no Pep – this feels like a Manchester City side entering a period of transition.

Bernardo Silva, Matteo Kovacic, Ilkay G🌟undogan, Ederson, Kyle Walker and John Stones are all in their 30s these days.

Kevin de Bruyne, meanwhile, will turn 34 next summer. And with injuries again restricting the Belgian♛’s involvement this season – De Bruyne has started only four Premier League matches in 2024/25 – there is a feeling that Manchester City cannot put off their pursuit of a replacement for much longer.

Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala has been linked. TBR understands that Man City have scoute🐓d Bayer Leverkuse✃n sensation Florian Wirtz too.

But with another twinkle-toed, baby-faced playmaker making quite the impact further 🍬afield, the agent of Lokomotiv Moscow whizzkid Aleksey Batrakov believes that a potential future at the Etihad Stadium may await his client in the post-De Bruyne era.

Russia star Aleksey Batrakov tipped for Manchester City move

“I see him at Manchester City, and not because it’s City, but because it’s Guardiola,” Vladimir Kuzmichev tells🐓 . “Pep w꧅ould definitely be interested in Batrakov, and he would 100 per cent play well for him.

“First of all, Aleksey needs to play this season and n🥃ext season at a consistently high level. If Guardiola is at City by then, we’ll contact them and make an offer.”

Still only 19, Batrakov’s impact since exploding onto the scene in the Russian capital has been nothing short of staggering. The teenager has 11 goals and eight assists from just 19 appearances in🍌 2024/25.

A lethal finisher from anywhere within 25 yards out, Batrakov’s outstanding appreciation of space and hi♛s intelligence in possession has also caught the eye. Comparisons have been drawn by some with former Russia and Arsenal ace Andriy Arshavin.

Kuzmichev, meanwhile, believes that Batrakov has more in his locker than just🍸 raw talent.

“This is, for me, this is the first case when a guy enteℱred our league in such a mature, productive and, moreover, beautiful way. [Batrakov] shows a mature game beyond his age,” the agent adds.

“But his character is also important here. Alexey, in addition to talent, is distinguished by his hard work. A man wit🦄h an amazing character. We see how the combination of talent and character gives such a result.”

Man City move won’t happen just yet for Lokomotiv Moscow ace

Kuzmichev cannot see a move to Man City, Barcelona or any other European giant happening any time soon, how🌠ever.

He 🌟believes that, with only 25 senior appearances under his belt, Batrakov༒ still has a lot to learn and a lot to improve before he can be considered capable of donning the sky blue of the Premier League’s dominant force.

“It would be unprofessional to agree t💎o any conditions in order to let Alexey go. We absolutely must try to keep the player [in Moscow] this and next season,” Kuzmichev explains.

“We understand that, sooner or later, Aleksey may agree on an offer from a big European club. [But] he has a long-term🐼 contract. It is unlikely that the club will consider any offer today.

“But anything can happen in our life. Let’s say Barcelona comes and offers a crazy amount, maybe the Lokomotiv management will wav💃er.”
