Agent of £34m star getting closer to Newcastle move set to now speak with PL rivals in coming days
Newcastle United may face a nervous few days with the agent of one transfer target set to hold talks with rival Premier League clubs about a potential move in the coming days.
The Magpies have had an interesting start to the summer, with a handful of low-cost signings arriving, while Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson have been sold for big sums.
Newcastle fans will hope that that leaves the door open for the club to now pursue some marquee deals, and it was suggested this week that one more was getting closer.

According to a report from , the Rossoneri would prefer to keep the 22-year-old unless they receive a bid of around £34 million, while his agent is set to hold talks with other interested clubs from the Premier League in the next few days.
It is noted that Howe is a massive fan of the Germany international, so you would imagine that he will be particularly disappointed if Newcastle miss out to another Premier League side this summer.
A summer boost Newcastle need
It has not been easy for Newcastle since the new owners have come in; while they have been able to spend money, they have probably not been able to make all of the changes they would have liked. That resulted in a much more underwhelming campaign at St James’ Park last season.
So it would be a boost if they could sign Thiaw, particularly after losing Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles to long-term injuries. Antonio Rudiger has how much Thiaw has surprised him, and Newcastle fans will be excited if Howe is a big fan.
Perhaps the next few days will provide a clear indication of how likely a move to Tyneside is.
