‘Agent is in London today’: Romano says talks have just taken place over £110k-a-week Arsenal man’s exit

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal and Hector Bellerin’s agent have just held talks over the Gunners man’s future.

The Arsenal defender is reportedly eager to leave the Emirates Stadium and join Real Betis permanently.

Now, Romano has claimed that Bellerin’s representative is in London and held talks with the Arsenal hierarchy this morning.

The transfer insider says discussions remain ongoing over the termination of the 27-year-old’s contract.

“Bellerin asked to return to Real Betis as soon as possible, it’s his priority,” added Romano.

Bellerin has been on the Gunners’ books for over a decade now.

He joined Arsenal from Barcelona as a teenager and made a name for himself under Arsene Wenger.

After 10 years at the Emirates, Bellerin decided he wanted a change last summer.

He joined Real Betis on a season-long loan deal, and had a fantastic campaign there.

Though Mikel Arteta rates Bellerin highly, Arsenal have very much moved on from having him in the team.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners agree to letting him leave for free.

Bellerin’s contract expires next summer, and normally a player leaving for free is a worst-case scenario.

Could Arsenal opt to try and get a transfer fee for Bellerin?
