Agent has heard ‘fantastic’ Brazilian player could end up joining Liverpool

Liverpool are in the market to sign a new centre-back this summer after Joel Matip’s departure from Anfield.

The Reds are looking to sign a new defender, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are already working on a deal to bring in a centre-half.

There have been a number of defenders linked with a move to Anfield.

Goncalo Inacio is said to be a player Liverpool are keen on, while the Reds were also very keen on Leny Yoro.

Speaking to , football agent, David Lavelle, has been discussing Liverpool’s search for a new centre-back, and he says that one of his sources has told him that a move for Juventus’ Bremer could be possible.

Liverpool could go for Bremer

Lavelle shared what he knows about the centre-back and Liverpool’s interest.

“I have heard that link: I can’t confirm it, but it is a possibility as one of my sources said . I don’t think he would replace Van Dijk, because the Dutch defender is not leaving,” Lavelle said.

“That’s my personal opinion. From what I understand all the Liverpool players are very happy with the new manager, because he is very easy to relate to. So I don’t think he will leave.

“However, I think Bremer would be a fantastic replacement, but at the moment it is a rumour. There has been no official approach .”

Bremer isn’t what Liverpool need

Bremer is a fantastic defender and he has been doing very well for Juventus in recent years.

However, he’s not the player Liverpool need right now.

Indeed, the Reds could really do with a left-sided centre-back to add to their defensive rotation, but Bremer is much more comfortable on the right side.

Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Jarrell Quansah are already strong options in thst role, and Liverpool may be best off looking for someone who would be better off the left.

Bremer may not be the answer to Liverpool’s defensive prayers.
