Agbonlahor thinks Arsenal should target Danny Ings; reacts to Spurs links
Gabby Agbonlahor that Danny Ings should snub any future chance to join Tottenham Hotspur, and claimed that he would be better off joining Arsenal.
Ings’s future has become a talking point with the Southampton talisman stalling on signing a new contract at St Mary’s. , that has alerted Spurs.

The report claimed that Tottenham are considering a summer bid for the 28-year-old, who has scored seven times this season.
that he would be open to joining a club that is playing in the Champions League as his current deal with the Saints edges towards its final year.
But Agbonlahor has warned Ings – who earns £75,000-a-week, – about joining Spurs should Jose Mourinho come calling. He suggested that he should stay on the south coast, before claiming that Mikel Arteta should take a look.

: “Does he want to move now and play second choice to Harry Kane at Spurs? That could cost him a place at the Euros.
“For me, I’d stay where I am and try and come to an agreement with Southampton.
“He would suit Arsenal at the moment. You look at [Alexandre] Lacazette and he’s come into some decent form, but you put Ings into that Arsenal team at the moment and he would definitely score goals.”
It should be noted that Agbonlahor seems to be discussing the prospect of a January move to Tottenham for Ings. Of course, a move in the summer would have no impact on whether he makes Gareth Southgate’s squad or not.
But his point about being a backup remains valid. Unless Harry Kane leaves, no striker in world football can expect to take top spot in the Tottenham pecking order.
There may be an opportunity at Arsenal if Alexandre Lacazette leaves. But Lacazette actually boasts a better minutes per goal ratio than Ings so far this season.
And of course, there remains a lot of uncertainty surrounding where Spurs, Arsenal and Southampton are going to finish this season. Those final positions could have a major impact on deciding what the future holds for the striker.
