‘Tables are getting thrown around’: Agbonlahor says one Arsenal star is furious with Arteta now

Gabby Agbonlahor has had his say on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta dropping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Everton on Monday.
The Gunners were looking to bounce back at Goodison Park after their loss to Manchester United, but Arteta’s men suffered a second consecutive defeat. His decision to leave Aubameyang on the bench has caused a lot of stir in the media, and Agbonlahor feels that the Arsenal skipper will not be a happy man.
Apart from dropping him from the starting lineup, Arteta also decided to bring Eddie Nketiah, a player who has reportedly refused to sign a new contract, ahead of him in the second half.
Agbonlahor feels Aubameyang would’ve gone back to the dressing room at Goodison Park and had a go at Arteta for his treatment.
Agbonlahor: Arsenal captain Aubameyang would be furious with Arteta
Asked if Aubameyang would’ve been offended, the ex-Aston Villa forward said on : “Offended? the tables are getting thrown around in the changing room at Goodison Park! I’d be saying, ‘How dare you?!’
“Something’s not right there. Maybe he didn’t start him because he’s been in poor form. Maybe his body language hasn’t been right. So, he thought, ‘Let me bring the youngster on in front of you.’ But it’s worrying times, isn’t it?
“I think Arsenal are definitely getting sold short. Auba is on £300k-a-week. If I’m an Arsenal fan, I want Salah numbers. I want Salah’s goals and assists tally, but they’re not getting that.”

TBR View:
Aubameyang wouldn’t have been a happy man when he was dropped. Arteta bringing Nketiah on ahead of him would’ve irked him even more, but the Arsenal skipper can’t have any complaints.
The 32-year-old has really struggled since the start of last season. He has looked nothing like his previous self and his form, especially over the last few weeks, left Arteta with no choice but to drop him.
It will be interesting to see if Aubameyang will be brought back into the side when Arsenal host Southampton on Saturday. Gabriel Martinelli’s injury could open the door for him, but if he underperforms yet again, Arteta will have to make more bold decisions in the coming weeks.
