After reported Southampton interest, Choudhury has played just 122 minutes so far
Southampton appear to have been vindicated in their decision not to sign Hamza Choudhury from Leicester City, with the midfielder having faded into the shadows somewhat at the King Power Stadium.
that the Saints were interested in snapping up the 23-year-old.
Southampton had just lost Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the time and were needing to replace the Denmark international.

Choudhury was seemingly outlined as someone who could potentially come in, but nothing ended up materialising
In fact, Southampton instead went and did a deal for Ibrahima Diallo, reported to be worth around £11 million ().
Since the link to Leicester, Choudhury has barely featured for Leicester.
So far in 2020/21, he’s made just four appearances, and only been on the pitch for a total of 122 minutes, out of a possible 720.
In each of Leicester’s four Premier League victories he’s been left on the bench as an unused substitute, and he appears to be struggling for substantial chances.
TBR’s View – Choudhury not a miss for Southampton
Southampton have definitely been vindicated in their decision not to pursue Choudhury after their reported interest.

He’s hardly shown what the Saints are missing, and the fact he just isn’t getting regular minutes at the King Power Stadium would suggest he still has some developing to do before he becomes a starter.
Even if he becomes more involved for Leicester it’s unlikely Ralph Hasenhuttl will come knocking given he now has Diallo, who is yet play, in addition to Oriol Romeu and James Ward-Prowse.
