After Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool now agree another new contract with player Arne Slot called ‘outstanding’
As the 2024/25 campaign draws to a close, Liverpool are starting to make significant progress with contract extensions.
Mohamed Salah has already signed a new deal – keeping the Egyptian at Anfield until June 2027 – while Virgil van Dijk is expected to pen a contract extension soon as well.
Sadly, Trent Alexander-Arnold seems to be heading to Real Madrid, but Arne Slot has other players to worry about, as Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Caoimhin Kelleher see their respective deals expire in just other 12 months.
Now – according to – Liverpool have struck an agreement over another new contract.
Liverpool agree new contract with Vitezslav Jaros
Vitezslav Jaros is another player at Liverpool who was set to leave on a free transfer this summer, until now.
The Czech news outlet believe Liverpool have now agreed a new contract with the 23-year-old, as InFotbal add that the Reds are expected to make an announcement soon.
However, the report states that Liverpool plan to loan Jaros out to a club in one of Europe’s top fives leagues this summer, as he finds himself behind Alisson Becker and Kelleher in the goalkeeping department.

Giorgi Mamardashvili is also set to arrive from Valencia this summer, so the Czech Republic international would presumably be fourth choice if he stayed on Merseyside.
Nevertheless, the new contract and plans to loan him out suggest Liverpool see potential in the Pribram-born glovesman, who made his Premier League debut in the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace earlier this season, and also started the 3-2 Carabao Cup victory over Brighton.
What Arne Slot has said about Vitezslav Jaros
Slot seems to be a big fan of the Liverpool No.56 – who impressed on loan at Sturm Graz last season – after his two appearances earlier this term.

Following the aforementioned Carabao Cup win over Brighton, the Dutchman said: “I think Vit Jaros was of course outstanding, not only in making saves but also playing out from the back.”
Jaros certainly stepped up to the mark in the absence of Alisson and Kelleher earlier this season, memorably making a couple of impressive saves at Selhurst Park, so his new contract is a deserved reward.
